About Longreach Home and Community Care Inc.

Longreach Home and Community Care Inc.  provides a range of services in the Longreach area to assist the frail and aged, people living with a disability and their carers, to remain living independently in their own homes.

Commonwealth Home Support Program and Support at Home funding is provided through the Department of Health and Aged Care and the Department of Housing and Public Works under the Home Assist Secure Program.

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is the national regulator of aged care services. The Commission regulates the provision of aged care services to ensure aged care providers meet their obligations to provide safe, quality care and services and treat older persons with dignity and respect. 

The new Statement of Rights replaces the Charter of Rights and continues to promote the older person’s right to have independence, autonomy and freedom of choice with the provision of funded aged care services. Providers delivering services must take all reasonable steps to comply with these rights.
